German review on dangers of WiFi

From: The English translation of the review “Biological and pathological effects of 2.45 GHz radiation on cells, fertility, brain, and behavior” by Isabel Wilke, published as a supplement in the German journal ‘umwelt-medizin-gesellschaft 1/2018’. It is the largest systematic review on WiFi up to now. It documents more than 100 studies confirming harmful effects of the 2.45 GHz carrier frequency and its pulsed WiFi variant.  The review was commissioned by diagnose:funk. This review is particularly explosive, as WiFi is to be installed everywhere, including for “digital education” in kindergartens and schools. The work of I. Wilke confirms the results of the review of Naziroglu/Akman, which was published in the Springer Reference in the year 2014 and the new Review of M. Pall (2018).

In the summary of the review by I. Wilke it says: “Current exposure limits and SAR values do not protect from health risks associated with Wi-Fi radiation. The adverse effects on learning, attention, and behavior serve as a basis for educational institutions of all age groups to forgo the use of Wi-Fi applications. Due to cytotoxic effects, Wi-Fi technologies are not suitable for hospitals and telemedicine. Wi-Fi technologies should not be used in bedrooms, work spaces, common lounges, hospital rooms, lecture halls, classrooms, and public transport. The possible risks associated with Wi-Fi radiation could be avoided by testing alternative technologies at other frequency bands like optical VLC/Li-Fi technologies (visible light communication). When Wi-Fi cannot be avoided as a transition solution, the ALARA principle must be applied: no continuous transmission, instead Wi-Fi networks that can be turned off and feature dynamic power management.”

 

Due to the study situation, the Cypriot and Austrian medical associations are calling for WLAN in a joint appeal:  “Decision makers especially in Education and the Health Sector need to be aware of risks and safe alternatives of the Technology, must consider adequately Health concerns, children’s vulnerability and support safe environment in schools, day-care and paediatric units. They must promote age related rational application of digital technology and not allow at schools, particular at preschool, kindergarten and elementary schools wireless networks and opt for wired connections.”

New film on wireless radiation

RT America released the film Wi-Fi Refugees today and it is being viewed by millions all over the world on their live stream. It is a 52-minute documentary on what wireless radiation is, what it does to our bodies and our planet, and what life is like for the increasing number of citizens becoming ill from it. Several Massachusetts residents are interviewed in the film:

  • The clown, Jonathan Mirin, and his wife, Godlieve Richard who portrays the physician in their play Innocenzo, are from Shelburne, MA.
  • Ida Paredo is from Hopkinton and she shares what happened to her health after seven “smart” meters were installed on her condo wall.
  • Patricia Burke is from Millis and we see her helping Pamela Steinberg from Worcester measure the EMFs in her home, and learn how Pam has to protect herself from wireless signals coming from outside her home.
  • Patricia also joins me at Ashland High School where we measure the radiation from wi-fi systems which students and staff are exposed to daily in schools throughout the Commonwealth. We also discuss how other countries protect their citizens but in America the FCC is pushing more wireless into our society with 5G, even though the current U.S. National Toxicology Program study shows it causes DNA damage, brain and heart tumors.

Technology is here to stay, so the message is not “no technology” but rather “safe technology”. This can be achieved through hard-wired Ethernet/fiber optic connections, by keeping mobile devices primarily in airplane mode, moving wireless infrastructure away from homes/schools/medical facilities, and encouraging industry to bring biologically safe mobile technology to market before we install any new infrastructure.

The best video on EMF and DNA damage

Great video on how EMFs especially from cell phones and Wifi disrupt DNA. It also describes the restrictions France has on Wifi in schools and talkes about the coming 5G in the USA where our gov’t has put a law in front of Congress to prohibit local governments from restricting this technology. Basically we are having it forced upon us without any recourse.

Maryland raising warning on school Wi-Fi

The Maryland Children’s Environmental Health and Protection Advisory Council (CEHPAC) issued an eleven-page report December 13, 2016 titled “Wifi Radiation in Schools in Maryland Final Report,” which every school district in the country, if not around the globe, needs to read and implement.

On page 5 of that report, we find “What exposures are linked to WiFi technology?” Here’s what’s said:

“WiFi radiation” (WiFi), also referred to as radiofrequency radiation (RFR), is non-ionizing radiation typically in the microwave frequencies of approximately 900 megahertz (million cycles/second, or MHz) to approximately 5 gigahertz (1,000 million cycles per second, or GHz).

WiFi is used primarily for cellular telephones, local area networks (LANs), and other communications technologies. The primary bands used for WiFi are generally 2.4 GHz and 5GHz. [CJF: Which is similar to an operating microwave oven’s range of 2.4 GHz or above!]

WiFi radiation exposures are regulated by several agencies. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issues radiation exposure guidelines as specific absorption rates (SARs) for fixed antennas, hand-held cellular telephones, and personal communications services (PCS) devices. 1 These guidelines were last issued by the FCC in 1996. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established occupational exposure limits for microwave radiation. 2 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not have standards for cellular telephones, but can take regulatory action if these devices are shown to have adverse health impacts. 3

Microwave technology researchers Martha R Herbert, PhD, MD, Harvard Medical School and other affiliations; David O Carpenter, MD, Director, Institute for Health and the Environment, University of Albany; Karolinska Institute associate professor Department of Neuroscience Olle Johannson and other respected independent-of-microwave-technology-funding researchers’ work have been consolidated into a 97-page anthology of sorts regarding EMF and RFR and their physiological effects, which can be read here.

Maryland state, education and children’s welfare officials obviously have come to the conclusion that parents have the right to know if there is an environmental hazard in the classrooms their children occupy for up to six hours a day. Currently, 20 countries around the world have taken steps to protect children from EMF and RFR microwave radiation in the form of WiFi technology in classrooms.

The upshot of the above CEHPAC report, parental and community involvement is the Report’s recommending the Maryland Department of Education (DoE) recommend to local school districts to reduce classroom wireless radiation exposures by switching over to and providing WIRED Internet connections.

2 MA Bills to protect kids in schools

An Act relative to best management practices for wireless in schools and public institutions of higher education.

                 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

            SECTION 1. Chapter 71 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:–

            Section 98. The department of elementary and secondary education shall develop best practices and guidance for the purchase and installation of wireless internet service in schools. In developing these guidelines, the department shall consider and prioritize practices that protect the health and safety of public school students and staff.

            SECTION 2. Chapter 15A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:–

            Section 45. The board shall develop best practices and guidance for the purchase and installation of wireless internet service in public institutions of higher education. In developing these guidelines, the board shall consider and prioritize practices that protect the health and safety of public institutions of higher education students and staff.

Computers ‘do not improve’ pupil results, says OECD

In today’s current school environment, children are exposed to far more wireless radiation than adults.  Most schools employ Wi-Fi, use wireless devices as part of daily teaching, and a growing number have cell towers on campus or near campus.  Here’s a worst case scenario:  30 children in close quarters in a classroom, all downloading materials wirelessly from the internet at the same time, and each child has a smart phone “on” in their backpack, with a cell tower radiating into the classroom.  This happens every day in school.  Health considerations aside all this wireless exposure does not even improve student performance. 

The report from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development examines the impact of school technology on international test results, such as the Pisa tests taken in more than 70 countries and tests measuring digital skills. Among the seven countries with the highest level of internet use in school, it found three experienced “significant declines” in reading performance – Australia, New Zealand and Sweden – and three more had results that had “stagnated” – Spain, Norway and Denmark. The countries and cities with the lowest use of the internet in school – South Korea, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Japan – are among the top performers in international tests. The study shows “there is no single country in which the internet is used frequently at school by a majority of students and where students’ performance improved”.
